This web site has been prepared to organize and present my application for tenure and promotion to Associate Professor within the Department of Integrated Science and Technology (ISAT) at James Madison University (JMU). It describes all 20 years of my professional career, which includes 15 years in industry prior to arriving at JMU, and the 5 years I’ve spent as an educator at our institution.
I sincerely appreciate the opportunity to share my story with you. My background is broad, curious, and diverse; my accomplishments demonstrate a synergy between teaching, scholarship, and service activities. My interactions with faculty have led to profound and compelling growth for me. Most significantly, my interest in the personal and professional development of students is genuine and deep: I’ve developed some remarkable relationships here as students have grown to become my peers, forging their own places in society.
