To receive an Excellent rating, a faculty member should demonstrate instructional accomplishments that the PAC deems exceptional.
My exceptional instructional accomplishments are likely to be realized over the next four to six years. I have been working informally with the American Society for Quality (ASQ) to think about and develop a Body of Knowledge (BoK) for social responsibility, based in part on the ISO 26000 Guidance for Social Responsibility that I worked on as part of an international Technical Advisory Group (TAG) in 2007 and 2008. This is expected to be the foundation for creating quality-based curricula in social responsibility and certification programs for implementing corporate social responsibility programs in the context of established quality systems. In addition, I expect to continue working with the newly forming ASQ Innovation Division over the next few years to develop a Body of Knowledge for bridging quality programs with innovation initiatives, which will also serve as the basis for future certification programs and curricula focused on driving innovation across a variety of manufacturing and service industries.
